Canada Post Strike

NOVEMBER 15, 2024

Navigating the Canada Post Strike

Starting today, November 15, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has initiated a strike against Canada Post. There will be a complete shutdown during the strike, causing service disruptions and delays in shipments to many recipients across Canada. Canada Post will not accept any new mail, and all shipments already in the mail stream network will be held.

We understand how stressful this can be, especially with the peak season ahead. To keep the orders going out with minimal interruptions we are taking these steps until Canada Post strike is over.

-All magazine subscriptions that usually ship via Canada Post will be paused. We will hold all the issue for all our subscription customers and once the strike is over we will ship in one batch.

-NOT AFFECTED BY STRIKE - All packages that are going to addresses that are NOT PO Boxes, Rural or Apartments/Condos are NOT affected. All orders will be shipped via a Canadian carrier (multiple carriers will be used to make sure package reach shipping destination in timely manner). This service covers 90% of Canadian addresses and tracking information will be provided.

-For all PO Boxes, rural address and deliveries to apartments and condominiums please use FedEx service available on our website. Make sure you include a buzzer code in the second address line.

-For all PO Boxes, rural address and deliveries to apartments and condominiums, if you still decide to chose Flat Rate or Free Shipping rather then FedEx during strike time, we will hold your order until the Canada Post strike is resolved. Once the strike concludes, shipments will be processed and delivered on a first-in, first-out basis. Depending on how long the strike may take there is a possibility your order may not reach you before Christmas.

We hope to avoid delays and ensure your shipments reach their destinations on time. But please keep in mind that all courier services across Canada are expecting higher than normal volume and deliveries may take longer than normal due to the strike and Holiday season.
